I need to know if it’s possible to just hook my DVD player up to my cable box and watch movies, my tv doesn’t have analog outputs and my DVD player just has the red white and yellow analog outputs?

Don't get confused, you want OUTPUT to INPUT. So you are looking for an analog INPUT on your TV. Either Composite (3 cables connection) or Component (5 cables connection).

In the absence of TV analog input, you want to buy a Component/Composite to HDMI converter. BTW, DVD players with HDMI are pretty inexpensive.

I don't believe Cable Box has any input other than the coax.
