I have a samsung wb100 camera that will not turn on!

Okay, I've seen that others have had issues with the retracting lenses getting stuck causing the camera to not turn on properly but my camera will not do anything entirely. I've pressed and held the power button, changed the dial setting and attempted the same idea and nothing is working out. It has brand new batteries and has only been used a handful of times so I'm not really sure what else it could be. Any thoughts?

If new batteries did not help, seems like camera is dead. It's from 2012 so likely not in warranty.
