I have a sony viao....used for 6 years. The other day, it cannot be turned on. Took it to a computer technician and they said

Sony viao motherboard rusty. Is it worth replacing or buy a new one?

You won't find a new one, only if u find a broken laptop same model and the motherboard is working and u will replace it, but first find if the CPU can be switched to the other board because there are laptops where u can change the CPU and there are where u can't replace them, or try finding one with motherboard and CPU working. My advice would be you to try buying a new one if ur budget allows you.
