Solved! I have an ASUS computer and it only had ONE jack for headphones and my sound won't come through it instead it goes through the

I plug in my head jack to the ONE only jack I have and no sound comes through instead it goes through the speaker even though my headphones are plugged in.

This happened to me on a brand-new Dell laptop. It turned out I had to download Realtek driver from Dell site.
