i have an XFX R9 270 Core Edition card not a 270x but overclocking it past the 270x

Solution
So what if the 270 can overclock more than a stock 270x? The point of overclocking is to get the GPU to be faster. The 270x and the 270 are different GPU's, as the 270x has a few more CUDA cores. I could have a 750ti overclocked twice past stock and a 780 at half of stock and the 750 ti would still loose. Clock speed isn't everything.
