I have a sony multi channel AV receiver it has an HDMI port that has blu-ray & ps3 audio/video signal can i hook ps4 there

Yes you can hook the PS4 to any unused HDMI input regardless of the name on the input. You can sometimes change the name in the receiver input set up menu. Check the owners manual.
