marshmallow is the name for Android version 6.0
‎Android 7.0 is "Nougat", which should be your phone´s operating system

7.1.1 is my phones operating system. I went to the library to have their people help and they couldnt figure it out either. I didnt make it to metro pcs today.

settings -> storage -> SD card -> three vertical dots (the options upper right)-> storage settings -> format as internal -> ERASE & FORMAT (all data on the SD card will be deleted) -> Move now -> NEXT -> DONE

Format as internal doesnt come up when i get to that step it isnt there

I got 235 pdf's moved to the sd card as well as any apps and mp3's that would let me. This means i would not want to erase my sd card now.

backup/copy these to an external device like a PC or laptop. There is no other way as to format the sd card prior to use it as internal storage

Found it, the format button. But in the meantime, i figured out how to download at the library to a flash drive.

I admit, I didn´t realize you just want to save two particular file types to the flash drive. But good to see, you managed it anyways 😀
