I havent used my acer aspire for 5 months, and now it wont turn on, and the adapter light doesnt go on either

Hi,

If you have another AC adapter try it with your laptop and charge the battery first for couple of minutes and try powering it on again. If still doesn't turn on, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and try powering it on again. Lastly, try contacting the manufacturer if it's still under the factory warranty because there's very little you can do if there's no light on the adapter as well. It could be a possible hardware issue already.

Did you have the battery in the system when it was sitting there for 5 months? Try unplugging the battery and only try it on wall power. If that does not work, check with another charger.
