I just want to watch a dvd movie

I know this may sound stupid, but here goes. When I go to home and select source on my samsung 6100 series smart tv, which source do I select? I went to all of them and I got nothing...Thanks

How did you hook up the DVD player? If its HDMI then thats your answer. What cable or describe it.

Maybe the maid accidentally unplugged something while she was cleaning.
