I need help with this game title

I don't remember the name but it was a iOS paper game where a little guy was fighting monsters with guns and special abilities. I suck at explaining things but that's ball I could describe

A guy fighting monsters with guns is about half of all games. May need a bit more info here, when about did it come out, what did things look like in the game, etc...
