The last two brands I have used (one from Walmart, the other from Staples) left residue and/or tiny fabric on my screen. I live in a fairly dust environment having 3 smokers, 2 chinchillas, 2 dogs and a cat. So dust and/or smoke piles up pretty fast. I need some decent monitor wipes, preferably cheap with a large quantity. This will be used for both my HDTV and LCD Monitor.

I prefer not to use those fine reusable wipes because I need something more heavy duty. Any suggestions?

i've always used nothing but paper towels lightly dampened with water which i follow up with a dry paper towel. provided you do not use the cheap paper towels which disintegrate this works fine for dust.

i'm not sure how it would handle smoke but considering you only want to use inert liquid and not any sort of cleaner on your screen i would say about the same as any wipe you buy.

using alcohol or other cleaner could eat away at your screen.
