I need Sony part #495462401 quantity 2. I've called Sony to learn that they do not manufacture this part due to age of unit.

I have component system containing CD player model#CDP H3750, serial #2835321 dated Nov 1992 that is neither shuffling discs nor playing them. After removing outside housing, it appears that the bands (belts) on either side of unit need replaced.
Any help in locating parts will be appreciated.

You might be able to find some O-rings which would do the job, from a plumber's or builder's merchants, or perhaps ebay. As long as the belt is the right sort of length and cross-sectional profile and area, it might well work. I used this method to get a linear-tracking turntable working again.

BTW, belts for VCRs are worth considering too.
