I phone only games on a i pad mini?

I am thinking of getting a I pad mini with out the better retnia desplay,and am wondering what I phone only games would look like.

I know they would work but would they be to blury or would the normal I pad mini look fine?

It will either be blury or will not fill up the whole screen or it could just be fine. It depends how it was developed by the developers
