Question I purchased a replacement power jack, the original one was 65W but the replacement is 45W (ordered by laptop model). Should I return the 45W one?

The cable with jack plugs in internally to the motherboard connection (not soldered type). It's not an issue with the charger or charger cables I have replaced that already and I had to wiggle the charger connection to certain angle to get it to charge. Charger is 65W, original connection is 65W. The ad for the cable didn't mention the W or V but it said it was suitable for my Acer aspire E5-522G laptop. Can anyone advise if I can install and use it safely or if I should return it (not sure this is an option as I'm in NZ so postage may be prohibitive). Thank you!

Look on your power block for the Voltage and Amperage figures.. If they multiply out to 65 Watts, that is what you need in the power jack. If it the figure is 45W, you're safe to go ahead.
