I sent out text to the same person several months ago today I recieved 10 of those messages how do I stop them?

I have been texting the same person for almost 2 years and have never had a problem with messenger, however, today my notification came on and there were 10 of the messages from months back. It had no phone number or name on it only the time it was origanally sent. How can I stop this from happening again?

Now "Messenger" and "Text Messages" are two totally different things, and two totally different apps. So Did you get them through "Messenger" or "Text Messages"?
