At first i had broken my laptop screen and then spilt water on it. the laptop dint switch on for a few days but, after a week or so it started switching on. i couldn't see anything on the laptop as it had a broken screen (cracked) so i tried to connect it to an external monitor via HDMI, that didn't work as the laptop didn't connect at all. now I'm opting to replace the screen via this website: https://www.screens.uk/HP-Compaq-PAVILION+POWER+15-CB060SA-model.htm
i know the screen is correct, but im fearful of my laptop not working even after ive replaced the screen as i think the keyboard isnt responding to anything. normally i can toggle the laptop keyboard backlight on/off, and the mute button on the fn button line which turns red when pressed, however, now i try to press it, nothing happens. but the caps lock key does show a white light hen toggled.
also when i connect a HDMI cable to the laptop, an electric, vibration feeling comes over all the metal parts of the laptop.

Question from shaikh.huzaifah007 : "i spilt water on my laptop which has a cracked screen"

laptop: https://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-pavilion-power-15-cb060sa-15-6-laptop-black-10164666-pdt.html

ok so a few weeks back i cracked the screen of my laptop, the whole screen was just different lights and cracks; no image whatsoever. then only a few hours later i had water spilt on it. i put it to dry for about a week then checked back on it. it booted up, i could tell by the different screen colour changes. i tried to connect it to an external monitor via HDMI but there was no image, i tried the fn key combos to connect, nothing. i noticed something strange happening; everytime i connected the HDMI cable, all the metal parts of my laptop would give off this electrical, vibration feeling. i have now opted to replace the display as it is fairly easy. heres the part: http://www.laptop-lcd-screen.co.uk/shop/HP-COMPAQ-PAVILION-POWER-15-CB060SA-15.6-LAPTOP-SCREEN__246273.asp
however, im scared of not replacing the part as ive now found out that the keyboard may not be responding. the sound may not be responding either. whenever i plug in a usb, there is no sound to notify me. normally my keyboard has a backlight which can be toggled on/off using the fn keys, however, now i press it nothing happens. but the caps lock key light does work.

could anyone tell me any ways in which i could test whether my laptop is still working even though the screen is broken and it doesnt connect to HDMI. should i replace the screen (im scared that after i do, the water damage will cause the laptop to not work)

yh ive already done that, any ideas on how to test to see whether if the keyboard works or the laptop itself?
