Hello i have emergency situation going on now, i think some of my roommates or people that i am living with tried or managed to enter my Laptop with windows 7 operating system. Today i returned from 3 day holiday and when i tried to power up my laptop i realized that it was put on sleep and i remember that i clearly Shut Down computer. In order to see what really was happening with a computer while i was away, i entered Event Viewer and i saw this: https://imgur.com/a/RCGHWln

Please help me i had many personal information's on this PC WITH VISA AND PAY PAL PASSWORDS AND MANY SOCIAL ACCOUNT PASSWORDS I NEED TO CONTACT AUTHORITIES!

It's already happened and there's no help we can give you except to move out and get some more trustworthy roommates.

Next time you go away, take the laptop with you or put it in a safe place. For now, change all the passwords with completely different ones and do the same with the login password for the Windows system. You could also look for some encryption utilities.

Update: One of my tech friends said me that Windows Event Viewer is not working correctly and on every attempt of log in he is giving same code 4624 and it is not possible to troubleshoot fi someone managed to log in or not. I did my troubleshooting and he was right. Turned off my laptop typed wrong password 3 times and than 4th time correct password and i got this result: https://imgur.com/a/swsXIra

So conclusion , this clearly proves that i can not determine if someone is 100% was able to log in , but i know that someone 100% entered my room and tried to type some random passwords ( in further do i think it was one of mine female room mates needed to use internet or something. They are not here now so ill ask them if they did it ill post results here.

I am still confused why is windows event viewer not able to determine if log in was successful or fail , is it known bug or just intended to work like that, is there any open source software that would be able to troubleshoot this log in on windows so i can be 100% sure?

The comfort you seek is in the Event Viewer itself. In an average use of a Windows PC, there woud have been far more entries in the timescale if someone sat at your PC and used it to do anything. Go into the Applications page and see if was any activity there.

Here you go, what i can notice as a tech noob is the there is difference in attempted log in's from friday (when malicious log in attempted ) and today (my legit log in) , there is line where say on SOURCE line "Winlogon" ID 2000 and that was successful log in by me , there is no that line when malicious log in occurred
Pls give try to review this.
