i want to connect my xbox 360 to my laptop, what equipment will i need in order for this to work?

i already have hdmi cables and my laptop only has a hdmi output.

There are a few laptops out there capable of HDMI in, but I doubt yours is one of them.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to have your laptop recognise the Xbox as an input to dispay on your monitor.

@CForest58, what you want to achieve with that? Do you want to use laptop' screen as a monitor for your XBox, or you want to record your gameplay?

As Barly said - neither of these activities will be possible with just a HDMI cable. Any video-to-USB converter (so that you can plug it into the laptop) will cause delays. While these can be OK for recording, it will kill your gameplay. Been there, done that.

You can Buy an hdmi to sub converter. Make sure it is usb 3.0 because you will be able to drive it at 1080P with no hiccups.
