icons visible only on primary screen

hi. i have a pc running constantly the same software on a win7pro environment.
the system is not connected to the internet, also no updates.
this is the configuration:
pc is connected to the primary screen (a projector) and through a remote unit with a monitor(2nd screen)/mouse/keyboard in order to manage the software from another room.
then there is a HDMI connection to a TV (third screen)
until few days ago, there was no problem and the three screens showed the software running, and also the icons at win-start.
then, all of the sudden, the primary screen shows everything, but the on the TV and the monitor i cannot see the icons anymore, nor the running software.
the remote unit seems to work, or at least i can still use the mouse and the keyboard like before..but what i see on monitor is the desktop image, nothing more.

can anyone help me with that?

Set the screens to duplicate in display options.

unfortunately, I do not find the duplicate option, it is just not there anymore.
I also do not understand why it worked perfectly for years but now all of the sudden it is not working anymore. nothing was installed, added or changed from my side.
