Ideal RAM for skylake 6700 non K processor In laptops

Ordering a custom laptop from eurocom.com. Will be using skylake 6700 non K processor desktop cpu in it. Usage will be video editing, animation and rendering. Software will be Adobe after effects, premier pro and cinema 4d.

Question is what speed ram to use and also suggestions on CAS latency

It depends on the board they are using and if it can handle anything more than the standard 2133mhz. Considering they are building you a non-K based build, they are likely not using a Z170 chipset. Find that out first.

It is a Z170 motherboard. I am choosing non K processor. K processor also available. Most likely I would not overclock in laptop. Hence non K.

For what you are doing there is a small benefit to getting faster memory, that said over 3000 mhz may not work properly because running memory over the stock 2133mhz is technically overclocking the memory controller. a K processor can handle the push beyond around 2666-3000, a non K cannot. So DDR4 3000 should be what to get tops.
