If i run a anti malware/spyware program...

I have a virus on my computr... i cant run my computer normally, but i can run in safe mode... i was wondering if i run a antispyware program if it will scan the whole computer, or if it will only scan the available applications in safe mode

Make sure you do safe mode with networking so you can get updated for the antivirus program if needed. And run Malwarebytes too, it picks up stuff that regular anti-virus programs miss because it looks not just for viruses but for spyware as well, better than most.
