If I use PC speakers on TV, will it come out surround 5.1?

Greetings,

I have nice logitech PC speakers, 5.1 and a vizio 46" tv.
If I put the right and left red and white cables to the speakers, will they sound 5.1?

Will there be any lag when playing console games on the TV or anything?

Any issues you can think of?

Short answer: no. You need digital connection (optical or coax), or searate audio channels from the TV

Red is one channel, White is two channels. 5.1 implies a six channels connection. 2 can't magically converts to 6.

As ^he says, surround, you need a DIGITAL hookup, these days a TOSLINK connection.

All speakers are working. I'm not sure it's surround, but it sounds ok.

Someday I'll have a better setup with the right cables.
