if you use a plasma tv for security cameras and dvr if you only turn on when you want to see cameras would this be all right?

If you hook your cctv security cameras up to your plasma tv but don't leave on just when you want to look at cameras will tv be ok and not get the plasma burn? My monitor went and until I get a new one I am using plasma.,but don't leave tv on,dvr records so I don't need it on unless I want to look at cameras.

An image will only burn in when there is an actual image being displayed, if you turn the screen off there is no image being displayed is there?
