i'm trying to do system recovery for my windows 8 toshiba satellite laptop but after pressing [yes] to the HDD recovery menu,

early this morning i accidentally tripped on my laptop's power cord and it got pulled out. when i turned my laptop back on, it gets stuck on the toshiba logo. i checked the BIOS and it seems intact.
pressing 'f8' doesn't work. i tried pressing '0' and 'f12' during start up but it only pulls up a screen asking me to confirm HDD recovery then after i press [yes] i get the toshiba logo again. help please.

Try removing ur hdd and insert it back again.

How if pressing the f12 the hdd recovery option doesn't appear? What should I do?

I messed up the recovery partition. So, what I did was, I copied the recovery folder and save it to external hdd, reformat the partition and copied back the recovery folder. restart the laptop, press f12, and the hdd recovery option is gone. what should i do?

please press shift key and restart that time you can get recovery screen please do that
