iMac. Not book. Ps doesn't like the graphics card?

I've had nothing but trouble since updating to elcapitan from Yosemite.
Ps worked fine then (I have creative cloud student subscription)

Everything is the latest version, had issues with creative cloud for a bit but seems ok now.

Tried opening photoshop and it came up with something about my graphics driver and it needing updating? (Ati Radeon hd 5670 512mb)
But as far as I can google, it updates automatically with OS X? (Have latest, 10.11.5 I think it is)

So what am I doing wrong?

Is it stuffed?

I don't mind getting a new one as long as it's not too expensive (art student budget)

Not sure what the software cause is but a solution would be that you can find a download of Yosemite in your App Store purchase history, make a usb bootable installer and downgrade. You'll need to backup and restore your files as part of the process.

I purchased it second hand, I don't see Yosemite in purchases
