In need of a laptop for college.

So my sisters old laptop cant handle all of the 3d stuff and rendering , and asked me to look for one for her, but the thing is , i got around ~600$ to spend . I found acouple for that price , but im really not sure what 3d rendering takes , so if you know any laptop around that price , please let me know, its really appreciated .

What you need is to find a laptop with a strong gpu (graphics processing unit) like this:

It has an NVIDIA 860M which is pretty good but not the best. The best is the 880m but the cheapest one of those is $2k. I know the one listed is $400 over budget but maybe you can find a refurbished or used version closer to your budget. If I see anything cheaper I will update.

That cpu is not good for 3d rendering. You should find something with 4 cores like Intel i5. Even Amd will be better for 3d and be even cheaper than intel..

The most budget friendly thing she can do is have a desktop with a strong gpu and cpu for rendering. On a laptop everything gets exponentially more expensive.

That is true. Apple macs are designed for 3d rendering but they are expensive. The best thing to do is to build a pc with a core i7, atleast 8gb memory, a gpu that is 256bits gddr5 and a 64bit os to make use of the 8gb memory.

hmm, What about black friday ? will the laptop be any cheaper ?i know its still like a month and a half away ,but if they go cheaper, she can wait.
