in network calling

why is it today anybody whos called me it added peak minutes. and nothing
to my in network calling. everyone who called me is a verzon customer and
there name showed up on my phone. does it take awile for it to calculate
the minutes corecctly or what

You have to make sure its on your account. For some its included in their
new plans for others it costs $10 etc.
Call and find out if it is on your account.

Yes, it does take time. LNP has made the task more difficult since the
entire db has to be searched now instead of the old AC plus prefix. VZW
doesn't seem to do this with every #MIN report. I have found that I get
better reports late at night and now habitually call just after midnight.
My hunch is that they may skip the IN search when the servers are stretched.

I found out Tuesday night that my IN-network minutes had been removed Sunday
afternoon by a rep that made an error setting up a new phone. I was assured
that they would be adjusted retroactively to the date of the error. I'm not
sure yet whether #MIN will pick up the correction eventually or if it will
only be fixed when I'm billed.

this seems to make since since last night at 12 am. my minutes went from
the 46 back to 30 minutes. seemed it was instant when i signed up but maybe
the # p[ortabilitiy is now being used so like you said there having to check
it at certain times and make the adjustment. if this is issue i should see
30 minutes subtract from my total tonight if its 24 hours.

im a new subscriber. and i subscribed to the americas choice plan at 39.99.
so it should be included. according to the web site it is.

Funny I pay $60 for one line alone on the America's Choice 550 plan
and its not a free service to me. And I have a second line which is
Digital Choice 200 for the car and of course at $40 it is also not
included. Some CSR tried to have me take a higher plan of 700 Anytime
minutes and then get the In Network calling plan. I told her no thanks
I don't need it.

this is the package i have

require a 1 or 2 year contract. according to what i read on the site. might
also depend on where your from. since. the always ask for your zip code on
there web site. my mother and step dad have the family share plan and have
to add $20 for the additional line and $10 for in network calling for the
secondary phone other wise only the primary phone gets free in network
calling.

Ahh ha. I have no contracts and purchase my own equipment. That may be
what the gal was trying to sign me up for. A Contract.
Also I called about that 500 Text Message Promo and the CSR's all
tried to have me sign a 1-2 year contract. I pointed out NO Contract
is required and they would not place it on. My friend at the Verizon
store placed it on with no problem and no contract. So it must be you
have to watch out what each csr tells you.

There's a very simple probablity... lets see, your friend did it for free,
and with no contract renewal, means there was NO commission. The others
would only do it if they could renew your contract and therefore make a
commission... DUH....Bet it's about the MONEY!

Actually, it may be about money or the screwing of the customer. Lets see
now for shits and giggles:

Person reads that there is a promotion of 500 text messages for $4.99 until
12/05 then on 1/06 the text messages drop to 250 for that same $5.00. No
contract is listed as needed for that two year period. remember it is to
have folks want to use the text messaging services of Verizon. Then why
would anyone in their right frame of mind want to extend their contracts for
two years for 500 text messages? Kind of dumb huh?

Since I am not just off the boat I told two separate CSR folks that nothing
states in the promotion that I need to have a contract or even extend my
contract etc. But the two gals insisted that a promotion would mean a plan
change and therefore need a contract extension and they stated, "You will
not get this promotion added without a 2 year contract" One quick call to my
pal at the store and he said it was not a basis of any contract renewal etc.
and placed the code on for it.
He also noted that if such a statement were true he would not have been able
to just add the code without a contract extension message appearing or the
system not letting him add it on. (Made sense to me)

Moral of Story: Its always best to find out if every thing any CSR states to
you *BEFORE* you make any change or service or promo request. Since as you
noted they are motivated by GREED and not the best interest of the consumer.
