Increase Continuous/Burst shooting framerate

I have a Canon Rebel SL1, and i want to increase the amount of pictures taken in Continuous Shooting mode, however it only stops at three pictures per shot. Is there a way to increase it to 5 pictures? I'm trying to figure this out for HDR panorama capture.

According to the spec's on Canon's web site for the Canon Rebel SL1 and the User Manual the High-speed continuous shooting: Max. approx. 4.0 fps. This is found under "Drive System".

However if you continue down the page you will find this "(7) Continuous shooting after 10-sec. self-timer (2 to 10 shots)"

On page 110 of the user manual you will see directions for how to use the self-timer.

I guess i should mention this but i was looking for continuous shots with different exposures from 1-5 pictures per shot. I tried the self timer and it got me like 9 shots but the problem is that they are all the same three sets of exposure types, and i'm trying to get, for example something like a picture transitioning between very dark image to very light. I'm trying to use this for HDR Imaging.

Have you tried the HDR mode in your SCENE selection?
