Hello all, first off thanks to anyone who replies.

When i try to connect a Mobile 2002 device to perform an activesync on a
E2k3 sp1 box i get the "Synchronization failed due to an error on the
server. Try again. Error code:HTTP_500".

When i check the IIS logs i see the following.

2004-08-16 23:54:06 192.168.1.33 PROPFIND /Exchange-oma/wclark/ - 80 -

NETBIOSDOMAIN-NAME\wclark 166.205.34.59 Microsoft-AirSync/1.0 500 0 0

When i check the device logs at \ipsm\windows\activesync\serverlog0.txt i
see the following

The environment:
E2k3 Sp1 Enterprise running on W2k3 std. Not FE/BE environment. FBA and
Verisign SSL enabled. Followed KB 817379 to get OMA functioning. Configured
a redirect for any http to https requests and the /exchange. Mobile Services
has all options enabled within ESM\GLOBAL Settings.

I can access OMA via the Mobile 2002 device without issues. OWA works for a
PC without issues.

Mobile phone is configured
server name = FRIENDLY-NAME.DOMAIN-NAME.com
domain = NETBIOS DOMAIN NAME
User name = wclark
Logging = Verbose

Hello all,

Well I opened a case with MS to get this resolved. The fix is to complete KB
817379 AND to allow Integrated Authentication on the virtual directory you
create in KB 817379. ( I had to find a cached copy of 817379 on Google as MS
has pulled this KB)
