Infected with Trojan?

Think my PC has a Trojans. I'm seeing some strange things happening with my computer, I keep getting emails that are read then deleted for various sites, theres several programs with random names that are taking alot of CPU when my computer idles, I cant seem to start any antivirus programs they wont install. Ive changed all the passwords to banks etc on another machine. Do you guys think a total wipe and reinstall will get rid of it? I have backups of my files but Im worried they might also be infected.

you might also make a bootable rescue CD with Kaspersky (requires an uninfected comptuer to make disk), boot from it, and run a full scan on your drive, and see what is found...

I Used parted magic boot disk and ran a virus scan from that, it found a library of Trojans and deleted them! I have managed to install Panda antivirus and currently running a full system scan but I think I will format just to make sure
