install Kodak Easy Share photo album files on Windows 8 computer

How do I move my photo albums from Kodak Easy Share to a windows 8 computer? I can not install the Easy Share software on my new computer and I can not upload photos from my camera into new computer. IS there a fix? I have 8,000 photos in albums labeled and titled in my old XP computer. I have a Kodak Easy Share DC 6490 camera.

can you take the memory out of that camera.

and i dislike that kodak software btw. kodak used to be such a good company. sigh.

It has both internal memory and a SD memory card that I Can take out. I loved this camera and software, easy to use and great quality photos.

the software did work well but moving pics off of grandmas computer was a hassle.
