installing a webcam software

my HP Elitebook laptop system is not showing my image.... what could be the problem....
if am to install any software, kindly recommend one for me

Check device manager to make sure the webcam is showing there with no errors. Check BIOS and hotkey options to make sure it's not disabled there.
