Insufficient space on external storage

Yesterday I bought an external storage card transcend 16gb class 10 micro sdhc card for my phone xolo Q700. I then changed the path for installing apps to micro sd card without rooting.
Then I tried downloading asphalt 8 and dead trigger 2. Before the download gets started I get
a message insufficient space on external storage . But I can still download smaller apps and transfer movies to the external sd card and view the movies
The internal storage available on my phone is 200mb.Please Help
Any help will be appreciated.

Those apps might fill up the card. How many GB have you used?

There is 13 GB space free on the external sd card

Weird. Have you went into Disk Management to look at the partition table?
