Solved! Intel pentium processor b940 vs Intel® Core™ i3-380M

Solution
Hello vinaykumar143;

Pentium B940 (2.0Ghz Sandy Bridge) and Pentium P6200 (2.13 GHz Arrandale) are essentially the same in CPU power with the B940 having a better GPU. Both run 2 cores / 2 threads.

Core i3-380M (2.53 GHz) is a small upgrade in CPU performance over B940/P6200. It runs 2 cores using 4 threads with a faster base clock. The Sandy Bridge Core i3-2310M (2.1Ghz) is nearly as powerful a CPU but having a better GPU.

Solution
While there is a clock speed difference of 430MHz between the Clarkdale Core i3-380M (2.53GHz) and the Sandy Bridge Core i3-2310M (2.1GHz), the performance difference is not that big. Sandy Bridge CPUs are about 10% - 12% faster than the previous Clarkdale generation Core i3. That means a Sandy Bridge Core i3 2.1GHz CPU would be equivalent to a 2.31GHz - 2.35GHz Clarkdale Core i3 CPU.
