Interesting STAR STRIKE experience

I've been playing Star Strike lately, anyway when I restarted a new
game, it said on the bottom of the screen:

Bkkp @ 1881 Lapp 'h

and when the game started the graphics on the earth were a bit
fragmented, and on the right side of the screen you could see the other
part of the planet on the left, etc.. very strange. I tried to beat the
game to see if the piece of planet on the right would disappear too but
I lost.

I haven't been able to get it to do it again. Anybody know what
happened?

That happens with Intv games. Not sure what causes it, but I've had it
happen numerous times when hitting reset or "frying" the carts (with the
3.2million times trying to get Meteor opened in Astrosmash).

What do you think of Meteor anyway? Did they make the right decision by
releasing Astrosmash?
