Intermittent sound problems

Does anyone have any idea when I am chatting on skype, they can hear me but their voice keeps cutting out? I have updated all the driver's, spoken with skype etc, all to no avail, so annoying when I only hear the first couple of words.

Please do check all the sounds settings in Skype. Last thing you want to do is to uninstall and reinstall Skype since that will refresh all the settings back to default. Also check your internet speed since Skype uses VOIP (Voice over internet phone) and it has huge contribution.
