That hack would be a junk compared to the iPad 2. When you think about the dual core cpu, faster graphic capabilities and the fact that Apple has 80+% of the tablet market why put yourself through the pain of hacking an e-reader just to avoid buying a machine that dominates the market place?

Even if you hate Apple but need a tablet it would make more sense to buy an iPad and use it until a Android has enough marketshare to mount a real competitor.

I'm dying to get a tablet and this will likely be my first. I was just checking out the specs on http/www.tabletpccomparison.com and the iPad 2 is actually pretty impressive. The Xoom still edges it in several aeras but I've read mixed reviews about the Xoom and you can't go wrong with an iPad.

Um in processor power and graphics power - the iPad eats the Xoom for lunch, it's 2-3 times as fast across the board on pure CPU and 3D graphics performance....

I don't understand why the competitors keep aiming at a moving target and missing - I guess they haven't gone hunting before - You aim ahead, not at it... For the same price it's slower, by a huge margin...
