iPad Storage Question - Advice needed!!

Hi.
I use a range of messengers on my ipad and save photos on a special photo vault app since my camera roll is a mess.

I saved some pics that were sent to me on the messaging app directly to the photo vault app, but then accidentally deleted them in the photo vault app.

Will they have been saved to main camera roll or apple harddrive at any point during the process? Or was it solely between the apps and there won’t be a trace of it on the apple hard drive? I ask because if there is I could use one of those software programmes to maybe get it all back.

Any advice appreciated. Cheers.

You should ask the makers of that photo vault app to find out how it saves.
