Great review, thank you! I know the Max getting the zoom lens this year was simply a matter of sufficient space for it, which the smaller Pro will not have until next year. But I hope Apple doesn't turn the Max into the more feature-laden Pro model because it's a form factor decision for those who prefer the smaller Pro. I simply don't want the bigger size and weight that come with the bigger screen and battery.

Surprisingly, I found myself preferring the Samsung photos in most examples. The iPhone Pro pics seemed to have a warmer, slightly yellow cast to them -- you can see this especially in white areas--while the Samsung pics looked brighter and more neutral to my eye. The color of the white cement pods that make up Little Island, for example, are not simply the warm color in the iPhone pic.
