Iphone 3G LCD Doesn't Work

Hello, I have a old Iphone 3G not 3GS lying around and since I am a little low on money I decided to repair that instead off buying a new phone. This Iphone I have gotten from a friend because he dropped and had more money than me. The hole digitizer cracked and the LCD was also pretty badly injured so I changed the LCD and digitizer. Now it doesn't show anything on the screen but does say that beep sound when charging and I can connect it to Itunes. Any help will be appreciated.

You probably just installed the screen wrong. Try to redo it or have a repair shop take care of it. Since you have the parts, you'll just have to pay the labor costs.

I really don't think I have put it on wrong since it is pretty straight forward just attach ribbon cable 1-2-3 and then it's done.

Could be a bad part, there are really only a few things it can be. Bad part or bad installation. Something else could have gotten damaged when you were installing it also.

Yes it could be a bad part but I dont't want to waste money buying a new LCD and/or digitizer. Do you know anything that could test a LCD so I know if that's dead or the logic board is dead.

I'm sure there are testers but they would cost at least as much as a new part. If not more than a phone. Most hardware testers are made to be used at factories and cost quite a bit.

Maybe you just did not put the LCD correctly or the LCD is not fit on the unit. You can ask somebody who knows the installation of the mobile part.
