@patchez: Not sure if you read Gizmodo's article, but Apple remotely locked the iPhone and put in into "Connect to iTunes" mode. That's why there's no pictures of the OS. It's without a doubt an authentic prototype iPhone, but I find it hard to believe that people are actually believing that it was lost and found "accidentally". Like any Apple employee important and responsible enough to actually be carrying around a prototype iPhone HD would "lose" it in a bar. The only thing this is would be a stunningly brilliant marketing ploy by Apple...what more could you ask for than over 2 months of free advertising? Gizmodo's article has over 10 million views! Apple's only goal was to get people talking about and excited for their new product months before its release and it looks like it has worked exactly like Apple planned it to. Personally, I don't care about how it's being advertised...I'm just excited to get my hands on one! Have you seen the new rumors about coloured housing plates? Baby blue, turquoise, hot pink, black, and white. Can you IMAGINE how many hot pink iPhones Apple would sell? Now THAT I'm not sure if it is 100% true, but I'm hoping for it to be. Once again, way to go on Apple's part. They continue to astound me (except for the iPad. That, on the other hand, was a complete and utter fail. But don't get me started on that one...).
