Phone dropped in toilet. It still worked for 15 minutes, in which time I both plugged it into a charger and made one or two posts on facebook asking what the best solutions were. It went totally dead and hasn't come back to life since. Only 3 months old.

The recommended method is as follows:

1. Do NOT turn ON the device.

2. Place and bury the phone in a bowl of uncooked rice (about 2 pounds). The uncooked rice acts as a dessicant and gradually draws out the moisture from the phone. Leave it in the rice for 8 to 12 hours.

3. Now take the phone out and connect it to a charger. There is a very good chance that it will work fine!
