Ipod touch 3g is not recognized by itunes

when i attach my ipod touch 3g to my computer, i get an error in itunes:

"iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occured (0xE8000065)"

How can i fix this, i want to add more music to my ipod

Press the home and the power (sleep/wake) button together for 10 seconds.
This will reset your ipod touch. Maybe that'll help

i just had to restore and update it
