Is a Compact Cassette considered an analogue recoding device

Is a Compact Cassette considered an analogue recoding device?
and could the telephone system not including the 'Integrated Services Digital Network' an analogue?
If this does not make much sense it is because my knowledge very limited right now. apologies

Digital means, data is saved as 1 and 0 data to represent Bits and Bytes. The compact cassette

But thinking further, there was mechanics and consoles/computers to save and read digital data from cassettes, like games and programs. So, I am not sure... thats a good question to me.
