You pretty much need a dedicated gpu to play anything from the last decade at a workable frame rate, even then the rest of your system isnt going to keep up, its time for a new computer.

Yep. Going to run pretty much nothing from the past decade. Parrot has summed it up nicely, if you want to be able to game, you're going to need to build a PC rather than use that god awful laptop. 🙁

It will run all these games decently enough, is very well optimized and is very cost effective.
If you have a budget of less than 500 USD go for the Xbox. If you have a higher one, let me know what it is and i'll put together a build for you.

You can plug it into an additional surge protector, but it is unlikely to make any difference given that the xbox surge protector is built directly into the power supply.
It will be perfectly safe to survive a power cut. If it doesn't for some odd reason, Microsoft will replace it and likely give you a reimbursement of some sort.
