Is Frontier the cause of my Tracfone problem

I just bought a Tracfone Samsung Galaxy Centura. When my wife calls me from our landline phone, serviced by Frontier, the call rings once or twice and then goes to Voicemail without ringing on my end. Although it will register the message it does not tell me one exists unless I look at my 'recent calls' screen. It continues to happen even if the wi-fi is turned off. When we phoned Tracfone they called the number and it rang/worked fine. It seems to work when some others have phoned, also. (I have thoroughly checked all the settings with Tracfone.) Is it possible that Frontier has some kind of blocking that contributes to this problem? I can’t keep it if I can’t get timely calls from home. Do I need to return it and look at another company’s no-contract cell? Any help and/or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
