Is it possible to jailbreak a galaxy 6 edge that's not fully paid for

I have a Galaxy S6 Edge from Verizon postpaid and I'm wondering if it's possible too replace the SIM card with a prepaid sim and then jailbreak it to use it on prepaid. Unfortunately the phone is not paid off. Thanks for any help
