Is it possible to put a backlit keyboard in a laptop that didn't have one to begin with?

As the topic states, I want to put a backlit keyboard in my Acer travel mate P273-MG. I know that most laptops have limited customisation but I was able to upgrade the ram so figured this was a potential as well?

I know acer produce similar aspire laptops to this but wouldn't know which ones.

If anyone can suggest any websites or ways of achieving this that would be brilliant.

Hi,

Unfortunately you can't upgrade to a keyboard with backlight with your laptop since it only uses 1 ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the motherboard. If it would have another cable or port in the motherboard to power the back light LED it would be possible though.

also whether you can get a backlight keyboard to fit into the space of the current keyboard because might be different shape. 1 keyboard does not fit all laptops.
