Is It Safe to sell my laptop and how much can I sell it for

I am going to sell my HP pavilion g6-1b60us and I want to know if I reset it to factory settings can the buyer still access my old files. Also, I would like to know how much I can sell it for on ebay, here are the specifications:

Make and Model: Hp pavilion g6-1b60us

Cpu: AMD A4-3300M apu 1.90 GHz

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6480G(512 Dedicated Graphics Memory)

RAM: 4.00 GB(3.48 GB usable) 1333 MHz SODIMM

Hard Drive: 500GB

OS: Windows 8 64-bit

Find your laptop on e-bay in used condition.
Then filter by completed auctions.
In green, you will see what your laptop actually sold for.
You will likely be disappointed by the low prices.

A forensic expert can probably recover your data unless the drive has had a very secure erase done to it before reloading the factory specs.
But, I would not worry much about that unless you had very sensitive or damning files.
