I'm planning on buying a HP G62t laptop with the core i3 processor and I was just wondering if it would be worth the extra hundred bucks to go from the intel hd graphics to a ati 5430 with 512mb gddr5.
It is surely worth it if you plan on watching hi-def movies and light gaming.. Although you might sacrifice on the battery backup by few mins.. But am sure it wont be that big a hit to worry about..

To me, $100 for the 5430 is a bit high personally, but not unusual for HP, gateway, dell etc for a low end add on card. It would allow you to play some games that the i3 would not, but not at the highest settings.
